TERMS AND CONDITIONS

-
The accommodation is available from 2 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10 a.m. on the day of departure.
-
Please let us know more or less what time you expect to arrive.
-
We recommend that you stock up with groceries before your arrival, as although not far, it is a slight adventure to get to town.
-
Bed linen and towels are provided. We make up the beds with duvets, but flat sheets and blankets are available on request. Guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.
-
No animals are to be permitted on the premises without prior consent.
-
The guests are requested to keep the property and its contents in good order and to make good any loss and/or damages caused by themselves.
-
It is acknowledged that the owners have described the accommodation to the guest and that the guest or a representative has the right to check the accommodation prior to making the booking. There will therefore be no grounds for cancellation on arrival.
-
The premises are let for short-term use as a residence by the guest and his family and friends only. The number of occupants is NOT to exceed the number set out in the Confirmation of Booking form, irrespective of the number of beds the unit offers.
-
Failure to observe the terms of payment as stated in the Confirmation of Booking can result in cancellation of the reservation and the forfeiture of the deposit.
-
8. If the booking has to be cancelled for any valid reason more than four weeks before the date of arrival, the deposit plus any other monies paid to date will be refunded less 15% handling fee. If the booking is cancelled less than four weeks before the date of arrival, all monies will be forfeited unless we are successful in re-letting the premises over those dates, in which case the monies will be refunded less a 5% handling fee.
-
There are absolutely NO refunds for late-comers or no-shows.
-
There are television sets in the cabins which receive the Open View HD bouquet of channels. Should you prefer to watch DSTV, please bring your own decoder and Smart Card, which can then be connected into the system.
-
Guests are welcome to bring their own boats that can be launched in the jetty area. For non-boat owners who wish to make use of the canoes and the pedalo, lifejackets are available on request.
-
Please do not bring wood or charcoal. There is more firewood available than you could ever use…
-
If you are driving from the Cape Town/George direction, or if you are towing a boat, we suggest you use the road through Hoekwil. It’s longer, but a much easier and a quicker route. Towing a boat up the Hoogekraal Pass (coming from the Knysna side) is NOT recommended, as the road is very narrow in places. Please note that the last 6 to 8 km. Is on gravel and we would recommend bringing vehicles with a higher clearance than a low-slung saloon car.
-
And ... PLEASE – NO SMOKING INSIDE THE UNITS!
